SkillFest is an exciting school holiday program designed to empower kids aged 8-12 with a wide range of essential life skills. Through engaging activities, our program focuses on developing crucial abilities in areas such as leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and self-confidence. Whether your child is drawn to the thrill of outdoor adventures, the challenge of physical activities, or the satisfaction of mastering new skills, SkillFest offers a dynamic and enriching experience that will inspire and empower them.

Programme Objective
- Understand the concept of hydropower and its importance in renewable energy
- Develop practical skills through hands-on experiments
- Foster a curiosity about science and technology
- Appreciate the value of sustainable energy resources
What you’ll be doing
- Explore the obstacles around Action Motion and collect essential parts for an exciting water wheel experiment
- Put your newfound knowledge to the test by conducting a hands-on experiment to build and operate a water wheel at Aqua Adventure

- Enhance problem-solving and teamwork abilities
- Foster a deep appreciation for nature and the environment
- Build confidence and independence
What you’ll be doing
- Hone your navigation skills using a provided map to locate various activity stations within Adventure Centre
- Learn the basics of outdoor cooking techniques and prepare delicious meals using camp stoves and natural resources
- Discover how to build temporary shelters using natural materials and tarps
- Master essential knots such as the fisherman’s knot, to create practical tools like a bottle handle

SkillFest is a school holiday event that emphasizes on teaching valuable life skills to children between the age of 8 to 12 years old. There are a total of 2 programs held as part of this June’s edition, and each programme is uniquely curated to maximize fun by teaching children essential skills and values through play.
3 December 2024: HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir
4 December 2024: HomeTeamNS Bukit Batok
8 to 12 years old.
Each program lasts for ONE full day. Registrations starts at 9am, Programme is from 10am to 6pm.
Lunch and light snacks will be provided. All food provided will be Halal and free from Nuts. Do notify us during registration (Registration Portal and/or on the actual day event) for any food allergies.
25 October 2024: Early Bird for HomeTeamNS members
28 October 2024: Opening for public
17 November 2024: Closing of registration
No, however we have scheduled sufficient breaktime for the children to rest and recuperate.
The t-shirt will be given to your child on the day of the programme.
Yes, there will be different t-shirts for each programme.
HomeTeamNS exercises a no-refund policy for SkillFest.
In the event where refunds are processed on a case-by-case basis, do note that your booking will result in a forfeiture of SkillFest placement and will be given to other registrants on the Waiting List. You also acknowledge that HomeTeamNS neither guarantees a reopening of SkillFest registration portal nor secures future SkillFest slots for you in September and/or December School Holiday Programme upon refund request.
