Safeguarding our water future

To commemorate World Water Day 2021, which falls on 22 March every year, members and staff of HomeTeamNS came together for a series of water sustainability-themed activities.

The events were held throughout the month of March at HomeTeamNS clubhouses, in collaboration with Singapore’s National Water Agency, PUB.

Over the weekend of 26 to 28 March, more than 100 members who visited the various clubhouses decked themselves out in blue to support PUB’s water conservation movement, GoBlue4SG. They participated in activities including sharing sessions that focused on the impact of climate change on water security, and how members can be enablers of change by taking sustainable actions together.

The little ones were not left out either, as they learnt about sustainability practices through a colouring contest. More than 300 colouring sheets were redeemed and submitted by their parents and guardians.

More than 600 members also showed their commitment to the cause by taking the Water Pledge at T-Play and bringing their own bottles to Clip ‘n Climb to reduce the wastage of single-use plastics.
The active participation on HomeTeamNS’ social media channels also helped start conversations and raise awareness of water security. Members proactively joined others in fun and engaging activities, such as sharing tips on saving water and solving word searches that underline the importance of water conservation in Singapore.
