The flags are up and so are our spirits. Every 9 August, the HomeTeamNS family comes together to celebrate Singapore’s progress and marvel at our nation’s remarkable journey. This year is no different. Immerse yourself in the festivities at one of our clubhouses and celebrate the nation’s 59th birthday with enthusiasm.
Join us in flying the national colours and enjoy a line-up of activities designed for all ages and interests. Friends and families can bond over interactive games and catch free screenings, while the decorated spaces make for perfect backdrops to take memorable snaps for your socials.
Do you know Singapore like the back of your hand? If so, kick-start the festivities with the All-Day National Day Parade (NDP) Trivia Quiz, running from now till 11 Aug at HomeTeamNS Bukit Batok. Answer all 10 questions correctly and win a gift as a reward!
On National Day, head to the Lobby A Event Space and register for the activities starting at 2:30 pm. Kids enjoy free NDP-themed face tattoos and balloons; they can also engage in colouring and crafts activities. For a nostalgic trip down memory lane, the clubhouse has arranged traditional games for visitors to play. Complementing the nostalgic vibe, complimentary kachang puteh and potong ice cream will be handed out at live stations.
Get your groove on with a lively National Day Dance session, where you can show off your moves to your favourite NDP tunes. Record your dance live and tag @HomeTeamNSBukitBatok on Facebook to stand a chance to win attractive prizes. Also, only exclusively for HomeTeamNS members – the first 100 registrants will receive a goodie bag just by signing up.
As the sun begins to set, gather around for the 2024 NDP Live Screening, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Free handheld flags will be distributed to all present, so we can all proudly wave them in celebration.
At HomeTeamNS Khatib, express your love for our country through art and crafts.
Starting 1 Aug, members can visit the Thoroughfare space to enjoy lightbox art activities daily until 9 Aug. Create free lightbox drawings with provided vectors and let it inspire you to craft your own artwork, sharing your thoughts about the past, present, and future of Singapore. Free paper and art materials will be available for members, while guests are welcome to bring their own.
Once completed, drop your artwork into the collection box. The submissions will be displayed on a community canvas board, creating a collaborative gallery.
On 9 Aug, gather around the media wall at 5:30 pm for a live screening of the NDP. Attendees will receive free flags and snacks to enhance the festive atmosphere (while stocks last).
You will want to head down early on 9 Aug to HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir. Starting at 10 am, members will be able to redeem a goodie bag for the occasion, while stocks last.
Make it a day of play at any of the facilities or introduce old-school games to the children. Challenge their agility with the feathered chapteh or humble five stones, and see if they can master yoyos and pick-up sticks. There will also be colouring activities for the kids, including a special tote bag colouring session on National Day. These activities will run from 12 pm to 5 pm on the Public Holiday, and will also be available (minus the tote bag) at the clubhouse until 12 Aug, from 10 am to 6 pm. All are free for members and their guests.
At 5:30 pm on 9 Aug, settle in to watch the NDP live screening. Do not worry about feeling peckish — live stations serving kachang puteh, popcorn, and more will be standing by to curb those snack attacks.
HomeTeamNS-JOM Balestier is celebrating our nation’s birthday in a very fitting way, with one of our favourite pastimes — poolside barbecue.
Lucky members can enjoy a splashing good time at the pool while the culinary team grills up a delicious feast for dinner. It is an unforgettable experience in a relaxing setting, as food and fun complement the festivities during the live screening at 5:30 pm. Just as the parade reaches its main event, cotton candy, popcorn, and ice cream will be served for dessert — a perfect pairing for the ensuing fireworks. This rare opportunity is limited to the first 50 registrants. Members can enjoy this package for $5.90, while guests can join for $8. All participants will receive a goodie bag.
Others who wish to join in on the lively atmosphere can register for the live screening at the lobby. The first 100 attendees will also receive a goodie bag filled with treats to enhance the atmosphere. This includes a small flag and clapper to create a rousing vibe, along with temporary NDP tattoos and a special LED badge to further deck yourself out for the theme.
