The annual Members’ Carnival opened the year with its biggest and best iteration yet, in January. Many fun-filled activities were lined up for over 250 HomeTeamNS members and members of the public at our Balestier Clubhouse.
In spite of the rain, many of the event’s fun seekers went on a “Clubhouse Trail”, clearing eight game stations in order to earn themselves mystery prizes. The stages included bowling, soccer dart and hoverball, as well as getting caricatures of themselves drawn. Some spirited individuals even took part in water archery tag at the pool.
One unusual highlight of the event was the opportunity to give VR (virtual reality) gaming a go. And at just $2 (member) and $5 (guests) per person, it was definitely bang for the buck!
Yus Hendra Mohamed Jalil, a guest, had a whale of the time at the event. He commented that the event was structured like The Amazing Race, but without time pressure, and that this allowed him and his family to better enjoy the carnival.
More treats abounded at the carnival’s bazaar – visitors could feast on street food while browsing the wide range of products on sale.
