How HomeTeamNS is riding the digitalisation wave to better serve its 200,000 members.
Safe distancing is key to keeping COVID-19 at bay, which means that activities often associated with HomeTeamNS Clubhouses — such as parties, large gatherings and team-bonding events — have to be shelved for the time being. But the organisation has accelerated its digitalisation efforts to promptly reach out and continue serving its members during the pandemic.
Fitness classes over Zoom, a virtual trivia night and a home-based e-gaming tournament — these are just some of the online activities that HomeTeamNS has organised in the past months for members. What is equally notable is that these virtual events were planned and executed in-house, showcasing the adaptability of HomeTeamNS staff.
REAL® RUN SOLO
HomeTeamNS’ tentpole event, REAL® Run, will go virtual for the first time this year. Participants will compete remotely and complete the race at their own pace. The sporting event will feature three distances — 5km, 10km and 24km — and participants can choose to run any route around Singapore, but they will have to complete their race before 3 October. They then have to submit a screenshot of their GPS-based running app, showing the total distance and time taken, or pace of the run.
