Here is our ultimate guide to some of the city’s most convivial spots for you and your furkids.

It’s the season to go the extra mile for our animal friends. From bespoke cafes that cater to your furry companion’s palate to scenic parks that offer the perfect playdate backdrop, we have the lowdown on Singapore’s finest pet-friendly experiences.

Holland Village’s latest shopping destination doesn’t just welcome pets; it features amenities dedicated for their use. Among these are pet hooks to secure your furry pals while you shop or dine at outlets such as iStudio, Watsons, Awfully Chocolate, and Din Tai Fung, and convenient water dispensers to quench all animals’ thirst. Of note is the Aussie-inspired Surrey Hills Grocer café, which has its own bakery to churn out dog treats that are low in sugar and free from lactose and gluten.

If you like One Holland Village, you can also try: Nex (while pets are not allowed in most areas of the mall, owners can bring their beloved companions to the Pet Safari megastore via dedicated lifts); or Star Vista (it has pet-friendly eateries including a cafe within Pet Safari and Chi-Bing Korean restaurant).

UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Singapore Botanic Gardens, offers expansive green space for leisurely picnics and playful romps. Amid the natural splendour, enjoy a game of fetch or a stroll, or simply relax in the serene ambiance.

Pre-order (at least three days ahead) a pet-friendly picnic buzz-ket (basket) from Bee’s Knees at The Garage. The package includes gourmet snacks and drinks, cushions, a picnic mat, and even battery-operated candles, ensuring a good time without the hassle.

If you like Singapore Botanic Gardens, you can also try: Marina Barrage or Gardens by the Bay.

Enjoy a sunny day out with your four-legged BFF at the beach section (i.e. on the sand) of this multi-purpose entertainment venue. While pets need to stay leashed and off the furniture, the inclusive environment allows everyone to comfortably bask in the sun and enjoy the seaside together.

If you like Tanjong Beach Club, you can also try: Rumours Beach Club or Coastes.

The Studio Loft

Whether it’s for a birthday, a Gotcha Day or just because, a pet photoshoot can capture sweet memories for you and your animal pal. With over 17 years of pet photography experience, The Studio Loft offers tailored packages starting from $250.

If you like pet photoshoots, you can also try: White Room’s Studio’s Portraiture Collection at $490 or pet paintings and illustrations, such as those by Paintinks by Melt, which start at $50.

Heartbreak Melts

Satisfy your late-night cravings at Heartbreak Melts in Ang Mo Kio, a pet-welcoming dessert cafe that stays open until 2am. Treat your canine companions to a free mini pup ice cream, made from a blend of banana, peanut butter, and oat milk. For the rest of us, indulge in an array of vegan treats like waffles, lava cakes, and milkshakes (great for those who are lactose intolerant), along with a selection of porridge and noodle dishes.

If you like Heartbreak Melts, you can also try: The Urban Hideout or Sun Ray Cafe.

Meownistry of Meow

Experience a purr-fect workday at Meownistry of Meow, a pioneering cat-friendly co-working space in Singapore. Nestled in Jalan Klapa, this unique spot offers a cosy open lounge equipped with all the essentials for productivity and comfort, including workstations and private meeting rooms. Starting at $10 an hour, you get complimentary Wi-Fi and the charming presence of feline friends to keep you company.

If you like Meownistry of Meow, you can also try: Well Collective at Northshore Plaza 2.
