Tee Off, Game On – The 14th HomeTeamNS Annual Golf Championship featured two special awards in commemoration of Singapore’s bicentennial.

Nothing on sunny island Singapore could compare to the heat at Sembawang Country Club, brought on by HomeTeamNS members and guests as they putted against each other in the 14th HomeTeamNS Annual Golf Championship. Organised by HomeTeamNS GolfLinks Interest Group Committee, the event saw 144 golf enthusiasts gathering not only for the golf competition but also connecting with new and old friends.
In commemoration of Singapore’s bicentennial, two newly added special awards were handed to players with gross scores of 18 and 19 by AC Lee Yam Ming, General Secretary, HomeTeamNS Management Committee, and guest of honour for the occasion. The event closed with a sumptuous banquet, complete with activities for participants to relax and bond.
SC Corporal (NS) Steve Tay, the winner of HomeTeamNS Challenge Trophy 2019 and a member of Golflinks Interest Group, shared: “Golflinks has allowed me to connect with fellow NSmen as we start to meet up more often.” He added that he will definitely be back to compete in the next championship.
