This cosy yet elegant spot, on the first floor of the beautiful colonial building that is the historical Senior Police Officer’s Mess, is a great place to chill over a variety of Anglo-Chinese delights, ranging from poached spinach with crab meat and egg to escargots and foie gras. It’s a great place for a candlelit dinner, or even a buffet party for up to 80 people. Try the curry fish head (it uses grouper – good fish!), grilled lamb racks (above) and kueh jonggong.

This floating seafood restaurant off Pulau Ubin is part of a kelong (fish farm). You can catch your own dinner in the “sure catch pond” and have it cooked any style you want! And if that’s not for you, just pick something off the menu – the seafood is unbeatably fresh.
